President Ronald Reagan's election and re-election campaigns in 1980 and 1984 won Camden County and flipped it red in a presidential race. His VP George Bush won the county in 1988, but the county flipped blue and stayed blue in 1992 when President Bush lost re-election.
Governor Chris Christie's re election was the last time Camden County voted Republican, however that was an outlier. The last Republican Christie to win Camden was Governor Thomas Kean's re-election in 1985.
