My name is Anne Fundner. I am a mother who lost my precious son to fentanyl poisoning. No parent should ever have to endure the heartbreak of burying their child because of this deadly crisis. That's why I am writing today to wholeheartedly endorse Damon Galdo, a strong conservative Republican, for Congress in CD-1. Damon is the leader we need to protect our families and secure our future.
Today, our southern border is finally being secured under new leadership, but the irreversible damage from years of failure remains. Under Joe Biden's open-border policies, record amounts of fentanyl flooded into our country, devastating families right here in South Jersey—just like it devastated mine. Congressman Donald Norcross stood firmly with Biden, supporting those failed policies every step of the way.
The results have been heartbreaking: more addiction, more overdoses, and billions of taxpayer dollars wasted on managing a preventable crisis rather than stopping it at the source. In Camden, the political machine tied to Norcross has deep connections to institutions like Cooper University Health Care—where his brother serves as board chairman—receiving public funds to handle the fallout.
Damon Galdo isn't running to just manage the consequences of these failures. He's running to prevent them. Damon will fight to keep our border secure, close sanctuary loopholes, stop fentanyl before it reaches our communities, and demand full transparency so no insider system ever puts politics ahead of our families again.
As a grieving mother, I know the pain of this epidemic all too well. Damon Galdo shares our conservative values and has the courage to take on the tough fights in Washington. He is the best choice to represent us and save lives.
